When the business rules for multiple receiving applications match, re-using a MEDITECH HL7 Interface is the way to go.  Naturally, you want to perform this in TEST long before cutting over to production.

Assuming you have an interface router:
1) Log on to Non-MEDITECH Interfaces Main Menu & Select 10

Non-Meditech Interfaces Main Menu

2) Find your interface and stop it, by turning it OFF.

NMI Connection Manager

3) Navigate back to Non-MEDITECH Interfaces Main Menu & Select 31

HL7 Main Menu

4) Select your Interface.

5) Enter the IP address and port for the interface on your Interface Router.

6) Go back to Connection Manager and turn the Interface back ON.
