Business Case
Nursing Care Plans are the primary instrument used to communicate problems, goals and progress in a patient’s recovery process. Identifying and resolving out of date Care Plans for patients is a primary concern for the Chief Nursing Officer.
Project
The Chief Nursing Officer, the Charge Nurse, & John Sharpe of Comstock Software jointly designed and implemented a Meditech report to proactively identify out of date Patient Care Plans.
Result
Using their new Care Plan Audit Report, Charge Nurses now proactively identify and update Patient Care Plans as soon as they are out of date. Proactively addressing out of date Care Plans facilitates better patient care by communicating up to date problems, goals and progress to all of the patient’s care providers.
